Colors of the Wind Apothecary is a Mother Daughter vision to incorporate the wisdom of our Elders, with a passion for botanical medicine and sustainable agriculture. On our few acres of land we seed, grow, tend, love, nurture, harvest, and craft our botanicals into, beautiful teas, tinctures, salves, sprays, sacred smudge bundles, nourishing herbal infusions, infused honeys, vinegars, oxymels, lip balms, massage oils, & more. Our land is organically tended with all of our love. We utilize companion planting, biodynamic gardening, soil building and permaculture strategies to produce our beautiful botanicals. We only use organic ingredients in the creation of our products and our packaging is 100% recyclable in efforts to minimize our ecological impact. We use absolutely no pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, or GMO's. We support a healthy bee population with our medicinal pollinator friendly flowers, and through all of our efforts hope to send healing ripples out to touch all people and facilitate healing for the Earth.
ORGANIC STINGING NETTLE LEAF TEA
A mineral rich, nutrient packed tea, that imparts a gentle energy boost by giving your body the minerals it is craving. Stinging Nettles are one of my favorite plant allies in the garden. A great source of vitamins A, D, E and K. Loaded with magnesium and calcium, as well as the critical trace minerals: selenium, sulphur, zinc, chromium, and bone-building boron. In addition to its nutritive benefits, Nettles are also amazingly anti-inflammatory, and anti-histamine, helping to ease those general aches and pains as well as allergic type symptoms. They promote hair growth, help to facilitate better blood sugar control in patients with diabetes, decrease water retention, and support adrenal and kidney function helping us to better manage the stressors we may face.
Dose: Although this tea can be enjoyed by simply steeping 2 heaping tablespoons per 8 oz of water, the greatest benefit comes in producing what is called a nourishing herbal infusion. To create your infusion, begin by measuring 1 oz (approximately 30 grams) of Stinging Nettle Leaf Tea. Measure out 32 oz of water and add that to a pot. Bring the water up to a boil. When the water boils, turn the heat off, slide the pot off the hot burner, add your ounce of nettles
to the pot, gently stir them so that the leaves are all wet. Put a lid on the pot and allow to infuse for at least four hours, or overnight, whichever is easiest for you. Add honey and lemon to taste and enjoy!

PEACEFUL TRANQUILI-TEA BLEND
A gentle, non dependence forming, caffeine free tea blend that combines anxiety fighting, calming herbs such as chamomile, lavender, passionflower and others that help to relieve stress and invite one into a space of peaceful tranquility.
Dose: 2 heaping tablespoons per 8 oz of water. A tea ball, muslin bag, or a tea strainer work perfectly for this one. Let the kettle whistle, allow it to cool for one minute, pour over the herbs and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Add honey to taste, and enjoy!

MORNING SUNSHINE TEA BLEND
A nourishing blend of mineral rich and adaptogenic herbs such as horse tail, oatstraw, rhodiola root, and others that gently support and nurture wellness and help to improve energy levels, by providing the body the nourishment it needs. Whereas coffee, delicious as it may be, depletes us of our minerals leading to that afternoon crash so many are accustomed to, Morning Sunshine Tea Blend with its mineral rich nutritive herbal blend , helps to support a gentle sustained energy boost. Contains some caffeine.

CHOCOLATE ROSE BLOSSOM TEA BLEND
This lovely tea gets its name from the chocolate mint, rose petals and blossoms found within the blend. Refreshing, beautiful, and delicious, perfect for anytime of day. Caffeine free and excellent both hot and iced.
Dose: Add 2 heaping tablespoons per 8 oz of water. I love to use a french press with this one, but a tea ball or muslin bag will also work perfectly. NOURISHING IMMUNI-TEA BLEND
A beautiful immune strengthening, adaptogenic blend containing herbs such as astragalus root, elderberries, stinging nettles, and others which help to support wellness and our ability to cope with stressors.
Dose: two heaping tablespoons per 8oz of water. Best extracted through decoction. To decoct your tea bring the water up to a boil, add your herbs to the pot, lower the temperature to the lowest possible setting and allow to simmer with a lid on for 20-30mins occasionally stirring. Let cool, strain, add your honey and lemon to taste, and enjoy!

A gentle, nurturing, mild anxiolytic, nervine tea blend, that helps to promote a healthy nights sleep, and aids in daily stress management, by lending a calming effect. We use a blend of chamomile, linden, lavender, lemon balm, and rooibos.

ELDERBERRY FLOWER POWER ELIXIR
A beautiful, immune-boosting organic blend of elderberries, elder flowers, rosehips, and stinging nettle. Child safe (1 year or older.) Vitamin c and zinc rich, anti-viral, anti-bacterial. This blend is long infused and allowed to cool before adding raw organic honey and organic apple cider vinegar to allow the natural enzymes and probiotics to remain intact.
Due to our pressure canning process, the elixir is shelf stable for 18 months. Upon breaking seal, keep refrigerated and consume within 2 months.

Fiery Samhain Cider
Ingredients: Braggs Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother, Raw Local Honey, Organic Horseradish Root, Organic Onions, Organic Garlic, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Jalapenos, Organic Turmeric Root, Organic Black Pepper, Organic Cayenne, Organic Rosehips, Organic Star Anise, Organic Lemon, Organic Astragalus Root, Organic Oregano, Organic Rosemary, Organic Thyme, Organic Marshmallow Leaf, So Much Love!

Dose:
At the first sign of symptoms: Take 1 - 2 tablespoons of Fiery Samhain Cider, and continue to take every 3 to 4 hours until the symptoms start to improve. You can also take a spoon or two daily as a preventative measure, its especially lovely as a warming tonic during the winter, but an excellent ally to help boost your fortitude and relieve congestion in any season. Mix with beverages, add a little fire flavor and vitality boost to your tea, juice, water, etc. Add to cooking, use some Fiery Samhain Cider in marinades, homemade condiments and salad dressings. Formulated with herbs such as calendula, plantain, and pau d' arco bark , along with several other vitamin c and zinc rich herbs, that facilitate rapid skin healing, have gentle antimicrobial antifungal and antibacterial properties, and help to draw out toxins from within the skin. Magick Potion Lotion is a staple in my first aid tool kit and excellent to have around. Safe for children and pets. For external use only. Use as needed.
